F.U.R.S - Just Kids

Single review by kev@thesoundofconfusion.co.uk

Well this is pretty awesome. It's not often that something is so clearly great upon first listen that it stuns you like this song has. F.U.R.S debut single 'Striptease' was released earlier this year (and you can still grab the demo from here) but 'Just Kids' has raised the bar a few notches. If you're getting bored with indie-rock then check this out and then decide if there are still people out there who can make the genre work and add something new to it. Not only does this sound like a monster from the start, the chorus lifts it even more.

It's especially good to hear that the band are currently working on a debut album which should be available later this year. If any of it is half as good as 'Just Kids' then they'l have something special on their hands. The vocals are smooth and also something of a force of nature, and alongside the blockbusting musicianship that brings us that towering chorus are delicate twinkles and subtle touches that add more depth to the song. Really this is just about faultless.
